Why stay in Ibiza

Mention Ibiza, and the following images immediately come to mind: sun-kissed shores, lavish beach clubs, mystical wellness retreats and crowds of party-goers dancing the night away.
Yes, these are all part of Ibiza’s attraction—but there’s more to the island than meets the eye. It’s also home to historic monuments, cultural sites, nature attractions and a vibrant culinary scene.
And away from the party hotspots, there are beach resorts and picturesque villages that exude a serene, relaxed vibe—just perfect for a restful getaway with friends and family.

Family activities in Ibiza

The lively town of San Antonio may have garnered a reputation as a party hotspot, but it’s also a great destination for family getaways.
Your little ones will enjoy taking a seaside stroll along the San Antonio Promenade, visiting the Aquarium Cap Blanc or racing on the outdoor track at Ibiza Karting. Slingshot Ibiza is known for its adrenaline-pumping slingshot ride, but the venue also offers other kid-friendly attractions, including amusement rides, sideshows and street food stalls.
The charming village of San José makes a perfect base for beach-hopping with the family. You’re just a 10 to 15-minute drive from a number of popular beaches along the west coast, including Cala Tarida, Cala Comte and Cala Bassa.
On Saturdays, visit the Mercat de Sant Josep, a weekly market offering local produce, artwork and handicrafts. For an immersive cultural experience, head to the Can Jeroni Cultural Centre, where film screenings, exhibitions and performances are held across the year.

Activities and points of interest in Ibiza

There’s so much to see and do outdoors on the island.
Ibiza villa vacationers have a wide array of water activities to choose from, including kayaking, diving, jet skiing and stand up paddleboarding. Take in the spectacular landscape by joining in a bike tour or e-bike tour. If you prefer exploring on foot, there are a number of great hiking trails to discover too.
Immerse yourself in the island’s rich culture and history when you visit the fortified town of Dalt Vila. There are several key points of interest located within the old town, such as the Ses Taules Gateway, Contemporary Art Museum, Puget Museum, Archaeological Museum and Ibiza Cathedral.
For more cultural sightseeing, head northwards from Dalt Vila to Santa Eulalia. There you’ll find attractions like the Ibiza Ethnography Museum, Puig de Missa and Es Trull de ca n’Andreu.
Ibiza doesn’t disappoint when it comes to shopping. Browse the wide selection of stores at Vara de Rey, set in the heart of Ibiza Town, or visit the La Marina district, where you’ll find a range of high-end boutique and designer stores and pop-ups.
For a different shopping scene, visit the Las Dalias hippy market. It’s the island’s longest-running market, and boasts over 300 stalls, as well as dining options and music. If you’re looking for unique artisan creations, you’ll find beautiful handmade pottery at ceramic workshops like Icardi and Can Kinoto. Both studios are located in the village of Sant Rafael.
Ibiza villa vacationers in search of poolside revelry and late-night adventures will find what they seek at the island’s renowned party hotspots. There’s Benimussa Park and O Beach in San Antonio, Pacha Ibiza and Heart Ibiza in Ibiza Town and Ushuaïa and Octan at Playa d’en Bossa.

Ibiza’s restaurants, cafes & bars

The island’s diverse dining scene offers something for every Ibiza villa vacationer. Your options range from healthy eateries (Pomona, Junglebowls) and cosy bistros (El Bistro de Stephan), to seafront fine-dining restaurants (Amante, The View Ibiza) and Michelin-starred establishments (Es Tragón).
Do note that many dining venues on the island only operate at certain times of the year, such as during the peak tourist periods. Additionally, popular restaurants often fill out early, so it’s best to make a booking in advance. Your Ibiza villa manager will be able to offer further recommendations, or assist with your restaurant reservations.
